SPRING FAIR 2023

Saturday 28 October 2023 10am to 4pm

The Mount Barker Waldorf School offers an education that is alive, full of wonder and strives to awaken the inner life of the young person. It develops the student’s capacity to learn, to be open to life and to develop a sense of meaning and purpose.

Acknowledging this wonderful education in their children’s lives, the school’s parents continue the annual tradition of organising the Spring Fair – a fun filled community event. Many people return year after year to enjoy this unique family day and celebrate the awakening of spring. 

The Spring Fair is a bustling, colourful wonderland of handcrafted gift stalls, second hand stalls, home-cooked foods, live music, games, and a showcase of our school’s unique educational pedagogy. There will be camel and pony rides, an olden-day Maypole dance, a traditional indigenous ceremony, plus garden talks featuring Sophie Thomson.

Young children’s imaginations will be awakened as they search for a treasure in the treasure cave, catch a prize at the fishing dip, enjoy The Sweet Porridge puppet show by Stargold Puppets or create their own spring flower garland. Older children will enjoy testing their skills in the outdoor games arena, on the parkour track and climbing wall and in circus skills activities.

We’d especially like to welcome back school alumni to celebrate. Come and see how the school has grown and changed.

All funds raised go directly to the school’s lovely gardens and structures.
