Eurythmy Teacher

0.5 position

The Mt Barker Waldorf School is seeking a Eurythmy Teacher in the Primary School, commencing as soon as possible.
Eurythmy is taught from Kindergarten to Year 12.  

We are seeking an energetic person committed to bringing Eurythmy in a lively way to young children from Kindergarten to Class 6. The load would be the equivalent of 12 lessons per week, making it a 0.5 eurythmy position. Other teaching possibilities would depend on qualifications of the applicant.  There is also the possibility of teaching at another Waldorf School to make up to full time.

The Mt Barker Waldorf School is a highly regarded school of some 320 students, established in 1979, offering a full Waldorf curriculum from Kindergarten to Year 12. It is situated in a beautiful semi-rural setting on the outskirts of the Mt Barker township in the Adelaide Hills, just over half an hour‘s drive from the city centre. There are 2 kindergartens, each with a group of 4½ - 6 year olds and one class at each year level from Class 1 to 12.

Class Six Teacher for 2009

We are seeking a creative, dynamic, warm teacher for a class of around 24 vibrant students who have had a solid grounding in their Waldorf Education, to continue their journey for Classes Six and Seven.  If you have training and/or experience in this education and are committed  to providing young people with the opportunity for an imaginative approach to teaching based on Waldorf/Steiner principles, we would welcome your application.  Excellent teaching skills along with energy and enthusiasm for teaching are required.

German Teacher for Primary years Part Time

We are looking for a suitably qualified and registered teacher of German for Years 1 to 6 (up to 12 lessons per week) starting at the beginning of Term One, 2009.  The person must have excellent German, and be able to teach out of a thorough knowledge of German culture - nursery rhymes and verse, games and songs and other aspects such as cooking, festivals, everyday life etc.  There may also be some work with high school students available.  A knowledge or experience of Waldorf education is desirable.

Computer Skills Teacher - Part Time

We are seeking a registered teacher able to teach basic word processing, spreadsheets and database programs and HTML programming for webpage design.  The possibility of the Year 12 main lesson on artificial intelligence would be considered for a suitable applicant. This will be two double lessons per week for 3 terms of 7 to 9 weeks.  The lessons can be timetabled on the same day or two separate days.
