The Mount Barker Waldorf School offers an education that is alive, full of wonder and strives to awaken the inner life of the young person. It develops the student’s capacity to learn, to be open to life and to develop a sense of meaning and purpose.

Acknowledging this wonderful education in their children’s lives, the school’s parents continue the annual tradition of organising the Spring Fair – a fun filled community event. Many people return year after year to enjoy this unique family day and celebrate the awakening of spring.

The Spring Fair is a bustling colorful wonderland of handcrafted gifts and crafts, home cooked foods, entertainment, games, and a showcase of our school's unique educational pedagogy. The Mount Barker Waldorf Spring Fair is an iconic Adelaide Hills event.

Young children’s imaginations will be stirred as they search for treasures in the treasure cave, fish for a gift at the fishing dip, and as they find a quiet moment away from the hustle, listen to a story in the beautiful kindergarten grounds.

Older children can test their skills in the outdoor games arena, shop for clothing and refresh themselves with a fresh crushed apple juice. They will have the opportunity to observe senior students working in service, making the fair the wonderful day that it is.

Adults will enjoy visiting display areas, exploring craft stores, attending gardening talks, or weaving a basket. More importantly, adults will enjoy home cooked foods and amazing baked goods.

All funds raised go directly to the school’s lovely gardens and structures.

Location: 27 Sims Rd, Mount Barker, South Australia,

The Spring Fair is a relaxing day, full of sensory delights and enjoyed by many. We look forward to seeing you there!
